Investing offshore 5 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 0
The offshore investment has turned out to be a highly safe and beneficial way of building wealth. In today’s times of recession, it has become necessary to think twice before investing. Among the sectors which have managed to stay away from the ill effects of recession is the energy sector. Energy sector stands the strongest in the past 150 years. This is owing to the urbanization which has taken place everywhere calling for more energy in every sphere of life. The greater demand for energy would mean continued higher return over investment in energy sector in the coming years. The investment into the energy sector has risen in recent years with the last year seeing an investment inflow of 155 billion dollars.

The need for energy is rising continuously. This is owing to the limited supply of fossil fuels. This has led to a slow shift towards the renewable energy sources that are unlimited in supply. There are organizations like the World Energy Research which are engaged in developing the prospects in the energy sector. The organization also enables the investors to gain from the investments in a volatile energy market, without becoming prey to the market vulnerabilities.

The energy sector also offers offshore opportunities to the investors. These can be hugely beneficial for those investors who are seeking services like protecting assets as well as earn a huge return over investment. Investing in energy sector can also benefit the mankind which is totally dependent on the need for energy. Energy sufficiency is the need of the hour for the world and investing in the energy sector can be a small step on the part of the investors towards this.

Despite the Bank of England Base Rate (BoEBR) staying put at an all-time low of 0.5%, some lenders have increased their standard mortgage interest rates by as much as 1.49%. Nationwide's change is the most remarkable, introducing a new 3.99% SVR for mortgages completed after 30th April 2009. Previously completed mortgages are still eligible for the bank's former SVR of 2.5%.
Buy-to-let investors who don't mind chancing it on the base rate might try their two-year discount mortgage from 4.98 per cent. Three and five-year fixed rates are available from 5.78 per cent. Excluded are new build homes and multiple property purchases. Precise Mortgages is the trade name of a new mortgage venture backed by American private equity. The backers are NY-based investment firm Elliott Associates, recently linked with a bid for IT technology company Novell.
